You may not realize it, but soil has lots of fans. There are those in the world who love and respect the soil so much that they have written songs and stories and poems about it. One such person is Francis D. Hole. A soil scientist for many years, he has also put his considerable talents to writing fun songs about the soil and the earth. In order to join him in song, you can find a number of his songs below. To get to the sheet music for each song, click on the note next to each song title. To see the text only, click on "text only version" next to each song title.

Also, there are some other soil fans out there. The students from R.M. Teitelman School in Cape May, N.J. have written some soil songs as well. Click on those to see their lyrics and the guitar chords.

If you have soil songs that you'd like to put on this page, please email the address below with any submissions. As we get submissions, we'll be putting them up on this page so everyone can sing about the earth and her soils.

(Calling all soil fans!!! If you have soil poems, stories, pictures, photos or songs that you would like to see published on this web page, please submit them to globe@ltpmail.gsfc.nasa.gov.)
